“Darby,” a twelve-year-old golden retriever, has been coming to Replacements, Ltd. daily for the past eight years. She comes to work with her owners: Jenn Barton, a continuous improvement analyst, and John Harris, an internet services supervisor. “Darby enjoys her extended Replacements family,” Jenn said. “During the day, she stays with John in the Internet Services department. She’s so quiet and well-behaved that folks often don’t even know she’s there until they see her walking down the hall or on her way outside for a stroll!”

Through the years, Darby has had many friends at Replacements. “When Darby and John used to pick me up from the China Inventory department on their way out for the day, Darby would go to the same spot to look for her China Inventory friends – and the treats they gave her!” Jenn said. “If they happened not to be there, she would search until eventually resigning herself to playing with a styrofoam noodle on the floor.”

Darby had another friend in the Sales department who always told her to “roll that beautiful bean footage,” in reference to how much she resembles a certain TV-commercial dog. “Darby has friends that take her out to play during the day, and she also enjoys visiting her Replacements friends for the occasional vacation,” Jenn said. “We feel very fortunate to have Replacements friends we can count on to provide care for Darby, even when we’re away.”

The pet policy at Replacements is a benefit enjoyed by many pets, pet owners, and pet friends. “We feel very fortunate to be able to bring Darby to work with us and have peace of mind about her care and happiness during the day,” Jenn said. “We’ve even been told that it helps prolong Darby’s health to spend her days in such a friendly environment.” Jenn added, “Having a great place to work where we can bring our furry family certainly is good for human health as well!”
